Pigeon Point Artisans Redwood Retreat
Most of the luxuries and many of the so-called comforts of life are not only not indispensable, but positive hindrances to the elevation of mankind.
- Henry David Thoreau
Pigeon Point is located in Humboldt County, outside of Eureka, California. Nestled in a redwood forest is a realm of artists, with specialties in 2-D and 3-D visual arts. We invite you to apply and find artistic refuge in this inspiring canopy. This retreat offers lengths of residency from 3 days to 30 days for artists, writers, and musicians.
The Residency is inspired by the return to nature. This residency is for artists seeking a retreat from their existing art practice and environment. Artists applying to this residency are strongly encouraged to create work that is inspired by the grounds and is reflective upon their experience under the Redwood canopy.
